Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how ShakeGasm ("we", "us", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the app on Android, iOS, or the web.

1. Information we collect

When you use ShakeGasm, we may collect the following:

• Account information: email address and authentication identifiers when you create an account or sign in with Google.
• Usage data: session counts, total session length, last-active time, device user agent, in-game progress (badges, scores, voice preferences).
• Purchase information: a record of which voice packs you have unlocked and the source of the entitlement (Google Play, Apple, web). We do not see your payment card details — those are handled by the relevant store.
• Optional content: if you record audio in the Custom Voice Studio, that audio is stored locally on your device only (in your browser's IndexedDB). It is never uploaded to our servers.

We do not collect: real name (unless you choose to provide it), location, contacts, microphone access (other than the Custom Voice Studio), or any sensitive personal information.

2. How we use the information

• To run the app, sync your unlocks and progress across devices, and provide customer support.
• To confirm purchase entitlements and ensure the right account gets the right unlocks.
• To diagnose problems, prevent abuse and fraud, and improve the product.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, account deletion confirmation).

3. Third parties

We use the following processors to operate the service. None of them receive your data for advertising purposes.

• Supabase (database, authentication, edge functions). Stores your account record, purchase entitlements, badge progress, and session counters. Hosted in the EU region.
• Google Sign-In (only if you choose to sign in with Google). Returns your email address and a Google account identifier so we can match you to an account.
• Google Play Billing (Android purchases). Handles the purchase flow and returns a signed receipt that we verify to unlock content. We never see your payment-card details.
• Apple for purchase processing on iOS (when applicable).
• Cloudflare (content delivery, DDoS protection, edge routing for our web app).
• Resend (transactional email — account confirmation, password reset, account deletion confirmation, purchase receipts). Receives your email address and the email content.
• ElevenLabs for the production of pre-recorded voice audio that ships with the app. Your data is not sent to ElevenLabs at runtime.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers. We do not currently use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

4. Cookies and local storage

The web version uses your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your in-app preferences. The app does not place advertising cookies.

5. Your rights

You may at any time:

• Access your data — exported on request to the address below.
• Correct any data tied to your account.
• Delete your account in-app via Account → Delete account. Account is recoverable for 30 days; after that all associated data is permanently erased.
• Object to processing or withdraw consent — by deleting your account.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection laws, you have additional rights under those laws (including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority).

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. After you request deletion, your data is irreversibly removed within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate metrics (such as total install counts) may be retained indefinitely.

7. Children

ShakeGasm is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us so we can remove it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all communications. Passwords are stored hashed with bcrypt. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
